POLICIES & GUIDELINES
REGISTRATION
You can register online, in person, by phone, or purchase order. Early registration is strongly suggested due to the popularity of classes, space limitations and cancellation decisions. There are no admission requirements for any non-credit course or program, though some courses have pre-requisites. You must pre-register for all classes and it is recommended that registrations be made a minimum of one week in advance. Don’t miss out!
- Register Online: All major credit cards are accepted via the secure online registration system.
- Register by Phone: Call us at 817-257-7132, Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. All major credit cards are accepted.
- Register by Purchase Order: companies may register employees using a company purchase order. A hard copy of the PO is required prior to registration and may be faxed to 817-257-7134. TCU will invoice upon receipt of registration.
- Register in Person: Stop by the office Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and register with a credit card, check or exact cash.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUND POLICY: NEW!
General Open Enrollment Courses and Programs
To cancel a registration, please contact us at 817-257-7132 or lifelong@tcu.edu. Unless otherwise indicated, course registrations canceled more than one week in advance of the start of the class will be refunded 100%, less a $25.00 administrative fee. Course registrations canceled one week or less in advance of the start of the class will not be refunded, but fees, less a $25.00 administrative fee, can be applied to another class within one year. Courses canceled by TCU will be refunded 100%.
Test Prep, Camps, Conference and Other Special Programs
Refund policies for specific programs or conferences will be noted in the program information materials.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather when TCU is closed, all Extended Education classes will be canceled. To confirm closure of the university, call 817-257-7000 or visit www.tcu.edu. We will make every attempt to contact participants in affected classes by email and or/phone calls and will update the Extended Education website, www.lifelong.tcu.edu and office voicemail at 817-257-7132.
PROGRAM CHANGES
TCU reserves the right to substitute instructors in unavoidable circumstances, and to cancel any course that does not generate satisfactory enrollments. Efforts will be made to accommodate students affected by cancellations in other courses.
DISCOUNTS
Discounts are available on many classes for TCU faculty, staff and students, senior citizens (age 60+) and TCU alumni. Check online course information for discount availability.
COURSE CONFIRMATION
Participants will receive electronic confirmation of enrollment, including course location following registration. Campus-based classes will receive a parking hang tag if registrations are received one week in advance of the class.
CERTIFICATE of COMPLETION
A certificate of completion will be issued upon request to individuals completing at least 80% of the course. Attendance will be verified by the course instructor. To request a certificate of completion, contact us at 817-257-7132
CODE of CONDUCT
Participants are expected to act in a responsible and mature fashion during class. TCU reserves the right to remove any participant found in violation of this policy.
AGE RECOMMENDATION
Unless a course is specifically designed for youth under 18, courses are intended for the adult learner. Some courses require participants to be at least 21.
TEXTBOOKS
If your course requires or recommends a textbook, please purchase them online through sites such as Amazon or local area bookstores. Please keep your receipt in the event your class is canceled. Courses requiring or suggesting textbooks will be noted in the course description and confirmation. Unless noted, textbooks are not included in the course registration fee and are the responsibility of the participants.
PARKING
Participants will receive a parking hangtag with course confirmation, for courses occurring on the TCU campus. The hangtag must be displayed while the vehicle is parked on campus. Evening (after 5 p.m.) and weekend classes may park in any white or red-lined spaces, with the exception of special 24-hour reserved spaces and handicapped spaces. Weekday classes must park only in white-lined spaces. Individuals registering the week of a class need to make plans to stop by the office during regular business hours to pick up a parking pass.
