TCU reserves the right to remove any individual from a course who displays inappropriate behavior that the instructor or other course members find disrespectful or threatening.
In the event of inclement weather when TCU is closed, all Extended Education classes will be cancelled as well. To confirm closure of the university, call 817-257-7000 or visit www.tcu.edu. We will make every attempt to contact participants in affected classes by email and or/phone calls and will update the Extended Education website, www.lifelong.tcu.edu and office voicemail at 817-257-7132.
TCU reserves the right to change or cancel any class. In the event that a class must be changed or cancelled, you will be notified by email and/or phone. Please provide us with the best way to contact you during the day. The decision to cancel a class is generally made two business days in advance of the class. If your class is cancelled, you may choose another course or receive a full refund (check will be mailed to you).
COURSE TRANSFERS AND REFUNDS
*General Open Enrollment Classes
You can transfer classes or receive a full refund if notification is made at least 24 hours or one full business day prior to the start of the class* (example: for a Monday class, notification must be made the previous Friday). Notification must be made by calling Extended Education, 817-257-7132 during regular business hours (8am – 5pm). You are responsible for any differential course costs when transferring. No transfers or refunds will be processed once a course begins. This policy does not apply to Test Prep courses, camps or conferences. See below for other program policies.
*Test Prep Courses (GMAT, GRE, LSAT) Cancellations and Refunds
When unable to fulfill a planned enrollment, a registrant may identify a substitute person in his/her slot at any time prior to the start of the course with a $50.00 processing fee by contacting the Office of Extended Education. No refunds or substitutions will be allowed after the first class session.
30 days prior to start of course: 100% refund, less $100 processing fee
7 business days or more prior to start of course: 50% refund, less $100 processing fee or may defer enrollment to future course
6 business days or less prior to start of course or course No-show: No refund
*Camps, Conferences and Other Special Programs
Refund policies for specific conferences or other special programs will be noted in the program information materials.
Courses requiring or suggesting textbooks will be noted in the course description and course confirmation. Unless noted, textbooks are not included in your course registration fee. We recommend utilizing on-line providers such as Amazon.com or area retailers for your textbooks. It is strongly suggested that you not mark up any textbooks prior to the start of the class in the event the course is cancelled. TCU is not responsible for any textbooks which cannot be returned.
If your course takes place on the TCU campus, you will receive a hangtag for your vehicle with your course confirmation which must be displayed during the duration of your class. Evening (after 5pm) and weekend classes may park in any white or red-lined spaces, with the exception of special 24-hour reserved slots and handicapped slots. Weekday classes must park only in white-lined spaces. If you register the week that your class begins, you may pick up your parking pass at Extended Education during regular business hours.
Persons who enroll in TCU Extended Education courses acknowledge that they are physically fit to participate in these programs. In the event of an accident or injury, students will hold harmless from all liability, loss or damage Texas Christian University and its agents.
